In creating a new breed of hairless cat called the Elf Cat, the following is a light-hearted and
much abbreviated account of how our first elf kitten was produced:
After petitioning the fey realm of middle earth and his majesty King Ingwe of the elves, after
dancing by the light of the moon during the solstices and performing all appropriate rituals,
upper earth has at last been granted our first feline elf baby. He was born "under The Rowan
Tree" at Bare Naked Kitty Cattery on January 16, 2008 and it was King Ingwe's express wish
that this first elf kitten become his namesake. Born to Falmari's Brynn of Satin Kitty (dam)
and Bailey's Irish Cream of Bare Naked Kitty (sire), we welcomed into our world King Ingwe
of Upper Earth.

This infant, the first true elf as described in the breed profile, was the only elf born to a litter of four.
Two of his siblings were haired and one was naked, none of which had curled ears. Ingwe and his three
siblings are healthy and normal in every way. Ingwe is the primogenitor of the breed.
To achieve our first elf, Engwe's mother, a half elf, half American Curl was bred with a Sphynx male ,
Bailey's Irish Cream of Bare Naked Kitty Cattery .
